Vyacheslav Mishchenko is a nature photographer from Berdychiv, Ukraine, known for his close-up photographs of snails and the small details of the natural world. Encouraged by his father, he became interested in photography as a child. Self-taught, he developed an approach rooted in patience, observation, colour and composition.

In 2014, he received the International Photography Awards’ Discovery of the Year award, presented at the Lucie Awards in New York. His photographs have been exhibited in Ukraine and abroad, and a collection of his work has been published in Japan.

Alongside his photography, he has spent many years working as a dental technician at a military hospital in Berdychiv.

From snails and insects to flowers, birds and landscapes, his photographs invite us to slow down and look closely.
